Michael Reingold, Founder and Producer of NYC House Concerts, is a classical musician, educator, administrator and producer who has organized concerts for over 25 years.
Michael is the Associate Director of the JCC Thurnauer School of Music, where he was worked since 1993. Based in Tenafly, NJ, the Thurnauer School is New Jersey’s leading community music school, serving over 500 students and presenting over 100 professional and student concerts, recitals and master classes each year. A French Horn player, Michael has performed with orchestras and in chamber ensembles throughout the U.S., England, Asia and Israel and has been a member of the New Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra for close to 20 years. He has advised concert series, including Musicians from Marlboro, Music Mondays, Fabbri Chamber Concerts, and The Beethoven Institute at Mannes and served on the staff of Kinhaven Music School for 17 summers. Michael also teaches music appreciation, music theory and French horn and holds a Masters in Music from The State University of New York at Stony Brook, a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University and attended the Indiana University School of Music as a visiting student.
